I'd pick locks for free. That's how much I love it but my wife "needs" things!
and this is our story...
I was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. As a teenager, I moved to Naples, Florida — the place where I discovered my passion for working with locks. At 25, I applied for a job at a local locksmith company, and that decision changed my life. The owner took me under his wing, trained me in this rare and valuable trade, and became one of the greatest mentors I could have asked for.
Following my passion eventually inspired me to start my own business. As the saying goes, “Do what you love and all else will follow.” My customers often ask, “Why would you leave Florida for Iowa?” My first answer is always, “My wife!” — happy wife, happy life, right? But the truth is, after visiting Iowa many times, I fell in love with this state and the incredible people who call it home. Who knew such beauty was waiting here?
One of the greatest joys of this journey has been watching my son grow into the trade alongside me. What started as curiosity turned into skill, and now he shares the same passion and dedication for locksmithing that I do. Working together has made this business more meaningful than I ever imagined — it’s become a family legacy built on pride, craftsmanship, and service.
